Some of the features are working signals, a fully-functional turntable, overhead catenary, a shunting yard which works much the same way as the original, authentic sound effects and a minimum of 'giant-hand-crane' operation thanks to the use of the Marklin stud-contact system.

The layout shares no similarity (other than name) with any real place called St Georgen, whether in Germany or anywhere else.
